First day of Preschool

Alyssa started preschool!!! She is in the Panda class at Franconia Baptist CDC, and she goes 3 days a week. She has so much fun at school. She is our little social butterfly and loves anything that involves interacting with other kids. We just can't believe we are already taking her to school!!

Before school started, they had an open house, so the kids could come meet their teachers, find their classrooms and the parents could make sure all the paper work was taken care of before the first day. I had to get physical forms filled out before she could start and the only apt that was available with the her Dr. was on the morning of, so we went straight to the open house after and then afterwards we went out to lunch with our other friends who were going to preschool there as well.

Here are her 3 year old Stats. (1 month early)
Height: 37" 50th %
Weight: 30.5 lbs 50th %
BMI: 15.6 50th%

As soon as we got there they gave her a School shirt and a balloon and they all got to take a turn sitting on the Panda chair. She thought she was the coolest girl in the whole world.

She had a great time playing with all of the other kids that would be in her new class.

She had the best teacher's you could ask for. This is her with Ms. Jeanne. Her assistant was Ms. Brown, but I don't have a picture with her. They were so much fun and we wish we could keep them forever.

Here are some pictures of Alyssa all ready for her first day of school!

This is Alyssa outside the entrance to her school. It was so fun to watch her and how excited she was. She is going to have a great year, and we look forward to all of the fun activities that are planned for the kids.

OBX

Over Labor day weekend we rented a beach house with a big group of our friends. We decided we needed to get one more dose of summer play in before the school year took over. Everything about the weekend was so much fun. We enjoyed each others company, had great food, and got to spend the day on the beach that was right out our front door!

It seemed like Ryan spent most of his time digging holes. I don't understand how Alyssa enjoys being "stuck" in the sand as much as she does. She didn't get it from me!
Ryan decided to dig a giant hole that all of the kids would fit into.
The kids all loved it and kept wanted us to lower them down into it.

The adults all decided to climb in too. Please excuse the pregnant swimming suit picture!
Alyssa was a fan of the boogie board.
All of the kids had so much fun, and all of them got along great with each other.

If we weren't at the beach, we were back at the beach house playing games!

On the way out of town we decided to stop and see some of the light houses in the area.

It is always hard to leave such a fun getaway. We are just counting down the days till we have our next one!
