1st Loaf of Bread!!

This post is for my Mom!! I finally made my first loaf of bread and I am very proud to say it turned out great and it was fantastic!!!

What's happening lately...

Alyssa loves to be the first one to Sean when he gets up in the morning. By the time we go in the room to get him he will be surrounded by toys and every stuffed animal she can find!!

Alyssa decided she needs a bath every time Sean has one. She insists on squeezing in his little bath tub with him!

Sean is loving food!! We have recently started giving him cheerioes and puffs and now he wants to eat everything in sight.

Alexandria Fireworks!

Alexandria was celebrating it's birthday so we went into Old Town for another fun night of Firworks!!

Wheaton Regional Park

We went to a park in Maryland and it was probably the funnest and biggest park I have ever been to!! There was a carousel and a train and a great play ground for the kids to play on. Alyssa enjoyed everything she did and Sean was a good sport like always! We ended the day with some pizza at Generous George's, one of our favorite restaurants out here!

4th of July

We had a lot of fun this year!! We started our day off by heading downtown for the parade. Alyssa was really excited about the idea of the parade, but after standing in the heat for just over an hour she decided it wasn't so great, and was ready to move on to the next thing. We came home to a great BBQ with some friends, and then headed downtown (in the rain) to the Iwo Jima memorial for a fantastic view of the fireworks!!

The next day we continued our activities with Nate and Catharine and we went to the pool, had a fantastic BBQ, and did some of our own fireworks!!

The "Sweatsedo"

Nate bought a new Navigator in Chicago, so Ryan and Nate decided to take a road trip to pick up the new car. Being a large luxury SUV they thought it would be appropriate to sport some "super fly" track suits. There's nothing like two grown men trying to "thug it up"!!

Nats Game!

We went to a game at the nationals new stadium with some of our friends. We had a lot of fun, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. It was Sean's first ball game and he did great!!

He takes after his Dad!!

summer time!!

Sean started the summer off with a temperature of 106, from an ear infection which landed him in urgent care. Thankfully after going through a couple of different antibiotics he was able to recover and we were able to get out and enjoy our summer!!

We have spent a lot of time playing in water, going to parks, and riding bikes!!

Ryan and Sean flew out to Utah to see his sister Shannon graduate from High School. Congratulations Shanny!!!

Potomac River Half Marathon!!

We did it!! Race day finally came and it was so much fun! Today I ran my first race of the season, and I was able to recruit some good friends to do it with me. We got up at the crack of dawn and everything about the race was perfect, we had great timing all day and a great fan club to greet us at the finish!! Ryan has been so great with all the support he gives me with my running. I look forward to my upcoming races, and I am glad I got to introduce some of my friends to the wonderful world of running. They both did so great, and I think they might be hooked!:} Or at least I hope because running is so much more fun when in good company!!
